Meet Denise, owner of Nest and Nestle—a business born from her passion for design and a desire to transform homes into warm, inviting spaces that help every home shine.
Tell us about the inspiration behind Nest and Nestle?
I have always enjoyed design and interior décor. When both of my daughters started their careers in real estate, I was asked to occasionally assist them in the staging of their listings. I received a call from an agent who had seen the staging at one of their listings and was asked if I could stage a large new build, the decision to start my staging business became a reality right there and then! A new business was launched with the intention of making homes feel like they were warm and cozy; something you would want to "nestle" into.
Who is your target client, and what services do you provide?
Anyone selling a home or representing the seller is the target client. We offer a range of services, from full home staging to assisting with color consultations to rearranging or "editing" their existing furniture.
What does the initial consultation entail?
The initial consultation varies based on what the agent is requesting. If we are providing a quote for staging, we do measurements, look at all the potential spaces and get a sense of who the buyer might be. The walkthrough allows me to get a "vibe” of the home. From there, I can make decisions on what best fits the particular home and the neighborhood. At this time, I may also give suggestions for paint colors, lighting changes, repairs or any other recommendations that would help the home appeal to potential buyers.
Do you offer virtual options for clients outside of Denver?
We stage all around the Denver metro area and will visit any home that needs our services! We also have been known to do edits virtually through FaceTime or give advice from time to time using photos.
What makes Nest and Nestle stand out from other companies offering similar services?
First, we own our all of our inventory and are constantly keeping pace with new trends in furniture to stay fresh and mainstream. With this we are also able to make purchases that are unique to a specific home, if needed. We work hard to give each client 100% and we never treat any home as “cookie cutter”. Each property deserves its own unique style with beautiful styling and furnishings!
What’s next for Nest and Nestle?
We are always looking for stylists to join our team, that have the same passion for enhancing a home's charm and beauty. We strive to grow the company from within so that we can continue to offer our services to a greater number of agents and homes.
What’s your favorite part about running the business, or your favorite kind of project?
My favorite kind of project are homes that are awkward. Everyone knows those houses! A weird room, odd space, a useless corner, a room that feels too large or small... To think outside the box is always a fun challenge in staging. And, at times, it gives me a fun reason to do some "treasure hunting" and purchase something special for that home.
What is the best way to get in touch with you?
(559) 737-7776 // [email protected] // www.nestandnestle.com
Texting or calling is the best way to contact me. I only sit down at the end of a long day for emails, so for timely replies, texting is easiest.
Outside of booking a project with Nest and Nestle, how can someone continue to support your business?
We love referrals!!! They are a great way to help support our business!

A review of the homes sold in 2025 in the Sloan's Lake Neighborhood
Starting as clients and now great friends, Mike & Kevin's company, Peak Properties, seemed like the perfect highlight for this month's spotlight!
We took advantage of the higher inventory in the neighborhood and toured several homes in Sloan's Lake, priced from $295,000 to $2.95M.
When we bought our bungalow at the end of 2019, we weren’t exactly looking to move. Being a real estate agent, I always have my eye on the market.

Long days of sunshine, long days on market... the summer lull is here.
As our Spring selling season comes to an end, we take a look at what's happening in the 80212 and 80211 markets.

An increase in inventory and days on market is giving buyers options right now.

Spring 2024 has been an interesting time for the Denver real estate market.
Move out day was stressful but thrilling. I remember telling the girls that in one year’s time, we’d be back in the house.
By May, the entire house was framed and it started to take shape. Seeing the second story, even just with lumber, was really exciting.
By September, the contractors were laying hardwood floors (we picked an engineered European oak in a 7.5” width). Then came interior doors, trim, and stairs.
Whether you live in Denver or you're planning a move and need advice for how to buy a home here, this guide will be helpful.
It took a long time, cost a lot of money, and required a million decisions. I understand what a luxury this experience has been, I feel extremely lucky.
It’s my favorite time of year! I get to celebrate the holidays and put on my stats hat to review the real estate happenings for the Sloan’s Lake neighborhood.
One business that I’m excited to highlight here is a photography business, M Stevenson Photo, run by a friend and past client, Molly Stevenson.
This boutique specializes in women’s clothing and accessories, sourcing many of their items from brands made in America.
One of the best parts of my job is that I get to be that source of “all things home” for clients and friends.
This fall, the market has been impacted by rising interest rates and inflation. It made buyers hit pause, and I get it.
We recently had the opportunity to interview the Nurture leadership team to learn more about this amazing Wellcare Marketplace.
It’s always an honor to serve my clients, but it’s extra special to give back to our community on their behalf.
While we're still living in a low inventory market, we've started to see more homes taking longer to sell, which is creating more options for buyers.
We had the pleasure of interviewing past clients and local business owners. Nikki started her jewelry business here in Denver in 2015 and until 2023.
More like June gloom is here. This rain sure is making things green around here, but I’m itching for real summer.
It’s no 2022, but with fewer homes to sell than buyers looking, supply and demand is doing its thing.
Every year, I put my stats hat on and review the real estate happenings of the year for the Sloan’s Lake neighborhood.
As summer winds down, it’s clear that we’re experiencing a shifting market in Denver. This shift means multiple offer situations are occurring less.
If you live in the neighborhood and are open to moving, know that the odds of selling are better now than they’ve ever ever been.
Last year, I had some fun reviewing the year with a million different stats for the Sloan’s Lake neighborhood. One year later, I’ve decided it should be a tradition.
