Research shows that clutter in our homes can often create mental clutter-- making our brain less efficient as it filters through all the visual stimuli. A tidy, organized environment can significantly improve our focus and mental clarity. If you've been meaning to declutter and organize, but can't find the time or energy for it... I have a solution for you!
Meet Grace of Space by Grace - an organizational expert who turns any chaotic and disoriented mess into a clean, fresh, and functional space! From your garage that seems to be gathering things you weren't even aware you owned, to that pantry or closet that has items falling out of it every time you open the door.
Grace's organization process brings a whole new level of ease, convenience and function to any space. Not to mention, the amount of head space she also helps clear up every time you don't have to think about where that matching shoe is. Just when you think she couldn’t get any more impressive; she’s also a dedicated mama of four. Grace is out here providing service and care in more ways than one!
What was the inspiration behind Space by Grace?
I’ve always had a passion for organizing and for years, family and friends had encouraged me to start my own organizing business. I finally took the leap a few months ago when my husband and I were on a one night getaway. We discussed what exactly starting a company would look like and put together a business plan. The name was obviously important to me so with a few ideas in mind, I looked for ideas from my closest friends. Space by Grace stuck!
What services do you offer?
Space by Grace is a full service professional organizing company specializing in kitchens, pantries, closets, play rooms, offices, commercial spaces and more! My mission is to create beautiful spaces in your home to promote clarity, balance and well… grace.
Every project is a little different because so is each client. My day can differ quite a bit depending on how big the space is and how involved the client wants to be.
What kind of organization projects do you enjoy most ?
I really enjoy organizing closets the most. Coming from a retail background, I’m very familiar with clothing and how to best display and organize it. I understand the flow of getting dressed and best practices when it comes to folding. The reaction from a client when they walk into their clean and organized closet is the ultimate reward for me.
How do you encourage your clients to get organized and guide them through that process?
I really encourage my clients to think about their lifestyle now as opposed to 10 years ago for example. Are they running errands and schlepping kids around all afternoon or are they going into an office everyday? These types of questions help me understand what clothes need to be featured in a closet or what snacks need to be available to grab in a pantry.
Many people are attached to the memory of an item, not necessarily the item itself. This is an important realization in the editing and organizing process. It can seem overwhelming at first, but we just take it one room at a time. By the time we’re done, you’ll feel lighter and more free!
How can our clients get in touch with you?
Email, phone or Instagram are the best ways to reach out. It start with a phone conversation so I can better understand your needs and budget. I’ll then request photos of the space and a few measurements. After that we’ll schedule a time for me to come and beautify your space. It’s that simple!
