Client Spotlight- Calibrate Health + Wellness

One of the greatest rewards of being a realtor is the opportunity to connect with so many incredible and talented individuals. As we entered the new year, I reflected on the privilege of working so closely with my clients and learning about their families, passions, careers, and the unique features they seek in a home. During this reflection, I realized that many of my clients have founded truly remarkable businesses, and I felt compelled to share their endeavors with my community.

As a result, I’m excited to launch a new series that will spotlight some of these clients and the businesses they’ve created. My hope is that, through these stories, at least one person will discover a valuable connection or service they’ve been seeking—or, at the very least, feel inspired by their entrepreneurial spirit.

I am excited to introduce Lauren of Calibrate Health + Wellness, an alternative and holistic company working to help women re-balance their hormones, gut and bodies.

Tell us about Calibrate. How did you start and what led you to this path?

Calibrate is a health education and coaching company designed to help women re-balance their bodies and take control of their health through practical nutrition and lifestyle protocols.

The idea for Calibrate began as a passion project and side hustle that unexpectedly turned into a full-time business. In 2023, I was laid off from my role at a tech company, and I took it as the push I needed to fully commit to this career pivot. When life gives you lemons… you start squeezing them into your detox water!

My fascination with health and wellness started early. As a teenager, I was always experimenting with natural skincare, eating the “healthiest” foods, and trying to take care of my body. I’m pretty sure my mom was a little worried about all my dietary experiments back then!

In my 20's and 30's, I began experiencing my own health challenges, and similar issues started appearing in my family. I quickly realized that traditional healthcare wasn’t giving me the answers I needed. No one was talking about nutrition or lifestyle changes as a first line of defense, and the solutions offered felt more like band-aids than true fixes for the underlying issues.

So, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I started with an online nutrition course, and I was hooked. One course turned into another, and then another, until I was spending nearly all my free time learning, studying, and earning certifications.

By late 2023, I knew this was my purpose. I wanted to dedicate my career to helping other women find the root causes of their health challenges, re-balance their bodies, and regain control over their health. And that’s how Calibrate was born!

What services do you offer?

At Calibrate, we provide 1:1 integrative health support, with or without functional lab testing, to help you uncover and address the root causes of your health challenges.

Our 1:1 program starts with a comprehensive intake meeting where we take a deep dive into your symptoms, connect the dots, and help you gain a clear understanding of potential imbalances in your body. From there, we create a personalized plan that includes practical diet, lifestyle, and supplementation recommendations tailored to your busy life. If needed, we may also suggest functional lab tests to gather more data and refine your plan.

After the intake, we schedule 3–4 follow-up sessions, spaced about a month apart, to monitor your progress, troubleshoot any challenges, and adjust your plan as needed. Along the way, we provide ongoing education and new recommendations to keep you moving toward your goals.

And you’re never alone in the process! Between sessions, we’re available via chat and email for questions, support, and guidance. When you work with us, you gain a personal health guide for 3–4 months to fast-track your journey to feeling better. We cut through the overwhelming noise online and give you expert, personalized advice—so you don’t have to figure it all out on your own!

For someone just starting their holistic health journey, where do you recommend they start?

Start with the foundations! It’s tempting to dive headfirst into holistic wellness, searching for a magical solution—a specific supplement, tincture, or food elimination—that will fix everything. But the truth is, the basics are the most powerful (and often overlooked) tools for true wellness.

Before jumping into any new health trend, take a step back and ask yourself:

• Am I getting 7–9 hours of quality sleep each night?

• Am I eating real, whole foods at least 80% of the time?

• Am I moving my body regularly?

• Am I staying hydrated with enough water?

• Am I getting sunshine or daylight exposure every day?

• Am I taking time to breathe, rest, and listen to my body when it needs it?

These simple practices are the foundation of a healthy, sustainable lifestyle. As the saying goes, “You can’t out-supplement a bad diet”—and the same goes for an unsustainable lifestyle.

Start with these basics, and you’ll create a solid foundation for any deeper health work you decide to pursue. Small, consistent steps are the key to big, lasting changes.

Do you have a local office, or where can folks find you?

All of my client work is done virtually, so I can support you no matter where you’re located! You can connect with me through my website. I’m also a virtual provider at Nurture, a wellcare marketplace in Denver, and you can find me hanging out there a few times a week if I’m not on client calls.
