I'm so pleased to share Movevery this month on our blog! Movevery was started by a past client, Dr. Nicole Crippen Schremp. Nicole kindly shared so much with us, below, about her practice, and you can learn more by visiting her website and their FAQ page. Without further ado...
Movevery is a Denver-based pediatric physical therapy practice dedicated to helping every little body thrive. We believe every parent deserves to feel confident in supporting their child’s development in a holistic and collaborative practice specializing in children from birth to age three. Our care supports a wide range of needs, including head preference and head shape, gross motor delays, body tension, tummy time challenges, digestive discomfort, w-sitting, and more.
The passion behind Movevery began with my personal journey as a mom. My second son was born with global body tension that presented as torticollis, head flattening, feeding challenges, and other complications. That experience taught me that advocacy and early intervention are critical. Movevery was created to be a place where families feel seen, supported, and empowered.
How early do you usually recommend intervention, and what are signs parents should watch for?
The earlier we can support a child, the better. In the first three months, a baby’s brain volume grows by 64% (Holland et al., JAMA Neurology, 2014), and more than one million new neural connections form every second in the first few years of life (Harvard Center on the Developing Child). Early intervention gives children the best opportunity for healthy development.
Some signs parents should watch for include:
A consistent head tilt to one side
A strong head preference during play, feeding, or sleep
Limited ability to turn the head evenly both directions
Difficulty feeding on one side
Digestive or elimination challenges
Body asymmetries, such as a C-shaped curve of the spine
Flattening of the head (plagiocephaly) from resting on one side
Challenges with tummy time, making strength and reflex integration harder
Delays in rolling, crawling, or walking
Not using both sides of the body equally
By addressing these concerns early, families often see faster progress and a reduced need for long-term therapy.
Can you give examples of “purposeful play” and how it supports motor skill development?
Purposeful play is intentional movement woven into activities that look like everyday play. While it may appear that I’m simply playing with a child, I am actually encouraging them to move in ways that target motor planning, strength, or balance for example in a very specific way.
For example, if we are working on dynamic sitting, core strength, and balance, I might:
Encourage a child to reach farther away for a toy, requiring them to control their trunk and return to upright.
Prompt them to rotate their trunk to grab a toy behind them, strengthening core muscles and improving coordination.
Offer opportunities to reach overhead, activating extensor muscles and improving posture.
Purposeful play feels fun for the child, while simultaneously building the foundations for motor skills, coordination, and confidence.
For parents who might be skeptical or overwhelmed, what does a first session look and feel like?
The first session feels collaborative and supportive. I meet families where they are, beginning with a thorough history and a conversation about their goals for their child.
The environment is relaxed. I observe movement, posture, and reflexes, always following the baby’s lead. This might involve gentle manual therapy, movements, and play-based activities. Education is woven throughout, so parents understand not just what we are doing, but why. Each family leaves with hands-on strategies they’ve practiced in real time, ensuring they feel confident continuing at home.
What is your favorite part about working with young children?
The privilege of being part of each child’s journey and the magic of early development.
The best moments are when a baby achieves a milestone—rolling for the first time, discovering their feet, or lifting their head with pride. Small changes in play, positioning, or connection can completely transform a child’s comfort, confidence, and curiosity about the world. It is deeply rewarding to witness both the child and the caregiver grow together.

Long days of sunshine, long days on market... the summer lull is here.
As our Spring selling season comes to an end, we take a look at what's happening in the 80212 and 80211 markets.
This is a favorite breakfast, brunch and lunch spot in the area and we had the opportunity to speak with the co-owner Tim. Read the interview below!
An increase in inventory and days on market is giving buyers options right now.
Are you interested in a low maintenance community or a lock-and-leave residence? These are some of the most popular condo buildings in the Sloan's Lake area.
Spring 2024 has been an interesting time for the Denver real estate market.
Move out day was stressful but thrilling. I remember telling the girls that in one year’s time, we’d be back in the house.
By May, the entire house was framed and it started to take shape. Seeing the second story, even just with lumber, was really exciting.
By September, the contractors were laying hardwood floors (we picked an engineered European oak in a 7.5” width). Then came interior doors, trim, and stairs.
Whether you live in Denver or you're planning a move and need advice for how to buy a home here, this guide will be helpful.
It took a long time, cost a lot of money, and required a million decisions. I understand what a luxury this experience has been, I feel extremely lucky.
When we bought our bungalow at the end of 2019, we weren’t exactly looking to move. Being a real estate agent, I always have my eye on the market.
It’s my favorite time of year! I get to celebrate the holidays and put on my stats hat to review the real estate happenings for the Sloan’s Lake neighborhood.
One business that I’m excited to highlight here is a photography business, M Stevenson Photo, run by a friend and past client, Molly Stevenson.
This boutique specializes in women’s clothing and accessories, sourcing many of their items from brands made in America.
One of the best parts of my job is that I get to be that source of “all things home” for clients and friends.
This fall, the market has been impacted by rising interest rates and inflation. It made buyers hit pause, and I get it.
We recently had the opportunity to interview the Nurture leadership team to learn more about this amazing Wellcare Marketplace.
It’s always an honor to serve my clients, but it’s extra special to give back to our community on their behalf.
While we're still living in a low inventory market, we've started to see more homes taking longer to sell, which is creating more options for buyers.
We had the pleasure of interviewing past clients and local business owners. Nikki started her jewelry business here in Denver in 2015 and until 2023.
More like June gloom is here. This rain sure is making things green around here, but I’m itching for real summer.
It’s no 2022, but with fewer homes to sell than buyers looking, supply and demand is doing its thing.
Every year, I put my stats hat on and review the real estate happenings of the year for the Sloan’s Lake neighborhood.
As summer winds down, it’s clear that we’re experiencing a shifting market in Denver. This shift means multiple offer situations are occurring less.
If you live in the neighborhood and are open to moving, know that the odds of selling are better now than they’ve ever ever been.
Last year, I had some fun reviewing the year with a million different stats for the Sloan’s Lake neighborhood. One year later, I’ve decided it should be a tradition.
